When I get home, working in the DAW there's like 50 different EQ's to pick from! A pair of Pultecs, a couple API or a handful of Neve, but basically you have whatever's in the console. At a really good studio there's maybe a half dozen channels of outboard options. he realized that if your working at a studio you basically have whatever EQ is in the console. Something a friend said years ago stuck with me. I have endless dozens of plugs I never touch. Today with low prices on single plugs its easier to demo stuff and then cherry pick things that are actually useful. I'm not sure the "best value" are bundles. All the companies are guilty of dressing things up with a fancy new graphic and selling you the same thing over and over again. There's a ton of overlap between plugins. Now whether you prefer the sound of one or the other is an entirely different question, but at the core? They do the same damn thing. all the Waves thing does vs a full scale delay line is give you a limited set of parameters. Echo Boy has endless modulation possibilities and dozens of saturation options. Click to expand.ADT is just a short delay, like 50ms with modulation.
